Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where Personally Identifiable Information may be requested.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on this website. We collect Personally Identifiable Information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by our visitors and users. The information you voluntarily provide is used to fulfill your specific request.

We also collect other information that does not, on its own, identify any specific individual. We may use this information to assist in administering the site, to learn about user behavior on the website, and to understand and analyze trends. Examples of this type of information include:

If we combine such non-personally identifiable information with Personally Identifiable Information, the combined information will be treated as Personally Identifiable Information while it remains combined.

Please note that, in some instances, you may be asked to provide information relating to any request for legal services in a free text box. While you are free to submit whatever information you choose, please note that any sensitive information – such as medical history or a Social Security Number – that you voluntarily provide will be stored by a third party we contract with for purposes of data hosting, and provided to independent lawyers/law firms/advocates for them to provide you with a free evaluation. While we use commercially reasonable efforts to protect all of your information, please consider carefully whether you wish to provide such sensitive information before doing so.

The Way We Use Information:

We use non-personally identifying information to better design our website and to learn more about visitors to our website. For example, we may learn that a certain number of individuals visited a specific area on our website, but in learning that information we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

We may be required – by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities – to disclose information provided on the website.

Finally, we never use or share the Personally Identifiable Information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first providing you an opportunity to opt-out of such uses.

We may collect data about your activities on our websites, such as the pages you have viewed, and may share this information with third-parties to allow them to display relevant ads to you. These third-parties may track your online activities over time by collecting information through automated means, and may use this information for ad targeting. These companies typically use a cookie, web beacon, or other similar tracking technologies to collect this information.

To learn more about Internet-Based Advertising or to opt out of this type of advertising, you can visit the Network Advertising Alliance (NAI) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA).

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have instituted and maintain appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Only authorized employees, agents, and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to the information stored within users’ eLuminate accounts.

Despite these safeguards, no website, database, or system is completely secure or “hacker proof,” so we recommend that you take additional measures to protect yourself and your information, including by ensuring that you have enabled the latest security features on your devices, closing browsers after use, and installing up-to-date anti-virus software.
